A natural marketer and netweaver, Crystal has effectively utilized her marketing, communications and public relations skills across 3 industries.

With 6 years experience in the nonprofit sector and a graduate degree in public administration and nonprofit management, Crystal has been deeply involved in board relations and capacity building. With the goal of increasing outreach while optimizing efficiency and cost, she has implemented email and web marketing to reach donors, volunteers, members and media. Additionally, Crystal has designed and written copy for annual reports, political campaigns and grants. She has increased revenues through the redesign of annual fund campaigns and management of special events. Crystal was the driving force behind a branding and image initiative that resulted in a stronger, consistent face to the public.

As a financial planner for 3 years, Crystal specialized in comprehensive financial planning and charitable giving. Tasked with building her own practice from nothing, she effectively utilized direct mail marketing, telemarketing, seminars, networking, referrals, email marketing, news articles and newsletters. Crystal worked directly with a nonprofit organization to educate their donors on advanced charitable and planned giving techniques. As a first year planner, she won the President’s Award for Quality Advice.

While working in the leasing department of a Commercial Retail Real Estate company, Crystal gained valuable business to business marketing experience. She was involved in the complete redesign of marketing materials promoting leasing opportunities. These materials included hard-copy presentations and brochures, email marketing and website presence. Crystal was also a critical player in strategizing how to more effectively reach the company’s target market.

Crystal is now the founder and owner of Crystal Clear Buzz, which draws on her broad experience, knowledge of technology and God-given talents to help nonprofit organizations and small businesses maximize their online presence.
